November Toxic Learning With Seminole State College


This month, former Lake Apopka farmworker, Linda Lee spoke to Seminole State College students of her experiences working at Lake Apopka. She also demonstrated the blue quilt to the students and it's representation of former farmworkers who've passed away.


Author Dale Slongwhite talked about her book Fed Up where Linda and other “Lake Apopka survivors are claiming justice, and their plight, long-time forgotten, is beginning to resonate across international borders,” according to Campaign Coordinator of Pesticide Action Network North America, Chela Vazquez.
