The Lake Apopka Farmworker Memorial Quilts have entered the building!

It’s almost here! The opening of After the Last Harvest: The Lake Apopka Farmworker Memorial Quilt Project is right around the corner!

Please join us this Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 for a cheese and wine opening reception at the Orlando City Hall from 5:30 – 7:30pm and be part of the celebration.  Made possible through the generosity of the Florida Humanities Council, the Farmworker Association of Florida, in conjunction with Crealde School of Art and the City of Orlando, will be hosting a two month long exhibit at Orlando’s City Hall.

Also, we would like to give a warm thank you to Stephen Hudak at the Orlando Sentinel  for his wonderful article on the Lake Apopka Farmworker Memorial Quilts and the upcoming exhibit. Thank you for your work and commitment to the community Stephen!
