Quilt Project Featured in Sentinel

News-flash! The Lake Apopka Farmworker Memorial Quilt Project has made headlines!

During the month of April, the Quilt Project travelled every weekend to festivals around Central Florida, including the Central Florida Earth Day Festival at Lake Eola. One of the many patrons who wandered into the Quilt's tent happened to be Joy Dickinson, a columnist for the Orlando Sentinel!

She was so captivated by the story of the Quilts and the history of farmworkers from Lake Apopka that she dedicated her historical column, Florida Flashback, to the Quilts in Sunday's newspaper!

You can view the wonderfully written article here. Joy mentions in the article that we will be displaying the Quilts every Monday in May at the Stardust Market - stop by tonight to say hi and help us fundraise!
